Job Summary

Sword AgencyPort Consultants work closely with our clients and project teams to frame, define and capture their business and technical requirements. Strong written and oral communication skills are as essential as analytical ability and core client relationship skills. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze, define, and document business and functional requirements for projects
  • Participate in or lead requirements sessions and activities with business and technical team members
  • Support requirements understanding and issue resolution throughout the project life cycle
  • Ability to identify clients business strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas of improvements.
  • Seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
  • Manage client expectations effectively
  • Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules
  • Collaborate with developers to proficiently interpret customer business needs and translate them into application requirements
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans based on business requirements and logical design specifications. Ensure adequate test coverage of all functional requirements
  • Ensure issues during testing are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
  • Act as a liaison between business clients and developers during analysis, development, testing, and production support phases
  • Act as partner to client to recommend preferred solutions which best utilize the product framework
  • Analyze data needs to determine appropriate mapping to the ACORD schema
  • Develop and modify XML files to support screen prototyping
  • Occasional travel to client locations might be necessary

  • Balancing priorities on simultaneous projects
  • Interacting with individuals at all client organizational levels

Desirable, but not required:

  • Business analyst experience as part of a consulting or professional services organization
  • Insurance industry experience with exposure to property and casualty lines
  • Familiarity with ACORD XML
  • Experience or expertise in agile programming methodologies and practices

Job Summary

Sword AgencyPort is looking for skilled software engineers to design, develop and modify web-based applications. Developers will work on Java-based solutions using XML, servlet, and JSP technologies running in a Java application server. The Sword AgencyPort development is a collaborative environment. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, and deploy Java EE 5 based applications into industry-leading container/application server environments
  • Customize Java-based, packaged e-commerce products
  • Support and/or install software applications and environments
  • Test software through unit testing, test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification using defect tracking software, fixing, and resolution
  • Write thorough descriptions of system design, program functions, and steps required to successfully deploy business solutions
  • Evaluate alternative approaches and devise imaginative solutions tailored to project and team needs
  • Work directly with customers to analyze requests and constructively provide feedback that meets the requirement while leveraging our core products as much as possible
  • Time management including time tracking and estimation of requirements

Education

  • BS/BA Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • A minimum of 2-4 years technical experience working on development of n-tier systems based on distributed application architectures using Java and object-oriented design

High level of competency in the following areas:

  • Java 5, Servlets, JSP, XML, javascript, and HTML
  • Relational databases - preferably Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2
  • Application servers and servlet containers - preferably Tomcat, JRun, WebSphere, WebLogic, and JBoss

Practical experience in the following areas:

  • Unit testing concepts and all phases of the software development life cycle
  • Designing, developing, and deploying new web sites
  • Optimizing and performance tuning web applications

Demonstrated abilities:

  • Working comfortably with all levels of an organization
  • Taking ownership for producing results
  • Writing business documents that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought, and orderliness of presentation

Job Summary

As a member of the Quality Assurance group on Sword AgencyPort’s product development team, you will work with clients and product development teams to define, document and execute test plans to ensure that new applications and enhancements to new and existing applications conform to the desired feature set. The ideal candidate will be able to lead functional test initiatives while also working towards the creation of test automation.

Job Summary

This position is new to Sword Insurance in the UK and requires a unique combination of creative, technical and business savvy. Working with senior management, product managers and the sales team, the marketing coordinator is responsible for marketing material, marketing activities, trade shows, industry analyst relations and working with our PR firm to define our brand and reinforce our value proposition in the market. This person will focus mostly on external communications, but will also be sure that sales, account management, implementation and all client-facing staff can explain our market position, strategy and value proposition.

We are looking for a creative, self-motivated person who is not afraid to show initiative and seek ideas from colleagues and clients or to bring new marketing ideas to the table themselves. Experience in marketing for technology vendors would be ideal and knowledge of the insurance industry would be helpful. The full-time opening is for the London office and reports to the head of marketing for Sword Insurance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in execution of marketing plan and marketing activities
  • Research marketing/promotions opportunities
  • Help build community with our customers and partners
  • Help design, compose, and produce collateral material, promotional email, website content, and media material
  • Plan and coordinate trade shows, conferences and events
